About the project
Tunnel Vision is a wordplay on a wave tunnel (also called a barrel or a tube). This project was initially offered to me as a simple logo project, but I have since built out the brand into merchandise and an e-commerce platform.
Client needs
For the initial logo, the client wanted something that felt real, raw, and grounded. I had met them in Bali and we were all inspired by the beautiful nature surroundings and untouched coastal areas. The logo had to feel bold enough to hold its own on a board or a t-shirt, nothing commercial.
Design value
The logotype mimics the narrow passage of a tube wave, but with a tactile quality that references the physicality of surfing. The palette draws from earthy coastal tones, and the layout of the mock site keeps things minimal so the product does the talking.
